Welcome to East Antioch Elementary! 

My name is Kristin Bean, and I am so honored to be the Principal at East Antioch Elementary School. East Antioch proudly serves students in the communities of Overland Park, Mission, and Merriam. The staff and other families here at East Antioch describe this community as “Shawnee Mission’s best kept secret” and I agree with them! 

At East Antioch, the success of our students is at the center of everything we do. Our mission is to create a community where all students feel safe, enabling them to be confident in gaining knowledge and skills to navigate the world around them. We aim to inspire our student population to be thinkers, learners, and achievers while supporting their academic, social, and emotional needs.

Partnering with you is one of my top priorities as principal. We are fortunate at East Antioch to have a strong community supporting us. I am very eager to meet you all, so please introduce yourself at family nights or when you are up at the school. I can be reached at kristinbean@smsd.org.
